Jim is President of the Stuart Flyrodders, is on the board of the Stuart Rod & Reel Club and is a public speaker for the Rivers Coalition. He retired after 33 years as a police officer and criminal investigator for the US Treasury Department and worked as a manufacturer’s representative in the fly fishing industry. He has a BS degree in criminal law with three years in wildlife conservation.
We are fortunate to have Jim on the IRK Board, and his on-the-water presence will be a great asset in our efforts.
Jim has lived on the South Fork of the St. Lucie River for over 26 years, fishes almost daily, so is quite familiar with every acre of the St. Lucie estuary and lower Indian River Lagoon, and has observed first-hand the decline of the fishery over the past quarter century.
